DESIGN PROCESS: Unsharp Masking Technique

BEFORE

                                                                    AFTER

Duplicating the image and adding a gaussian blur on the original layer, then set the copy layer to multiply and the picture quality is greatly enhanced. Other post production editing such as using the curves effect and the black and white effect has also been used.

Final design for Interactive Menu

This is the final design for our interactive menu. If you scroll down you can see the first design and how this one has drastically altered. We conducted more research and came to our senses! Conducted in Photoshop but currently trying to learn some in-design. Get that industry knowledge before I get released into the world!

DESIGN PROCESS: Adding Expressions into my work

A few basic expressions I used for the wiggle and rotation of my assets. I could have also inserted a slider control and parented the layers to give me more freedom, however on this particular it was not neccesary. My knowledge on expressions is slowly but surely increasing!

Testing pace and rhythm of animated swirls

http://vimeo.com/19809025

A short video to convey hand drawn swirls. I wanted to create an animation that would help the lead from the left of the screen, gradually to the right. I will use a stroke to help animate my hand drawn swirls from one side of the screen to the other. Pace, rhythm and timing will be an important factor!

Initial Design for Interactive Menu

A draft design for an interactive menu which is currently being implemented for the navigation screen within a Mercedes car. The menu was created in Photoshop, but I am currently in the middle of modifying it as after much consideration I did not feel the style was too appropriate. Keep posted for the final version!
