Silence can Speak Film Festival
Silence can Speak Film festival is a fictional created film festival. The purpose was to demonstrate that I could successfully research, design and implement a programme guide that would demonstrate to audiences the activities and screenings available over a period of 48 hours. Research was thoroughly investigated right from the concept of the festival, to its screenings and right till the end to the timings and location. The programme guide was created solely using Photoshop.

100 Watts (Final Year Dissertation) DVD Cover and Disk Design
A few still designs created on Photoshop to help promote the fictional narrative created for the film '100 Watts'. Use of colour and composition was key. Keeping the colour scheme and design consistent was key in developing an effective brand for the product (which in this case was the film). Colours such as blue were used to reflect the concept of electricity, whereas black was used to affect the genre, which in this case was supernatural horror.

The Making of 100 Watts Film Trailer
The Making of 100 Watts Film Trailer
Alot of the action to convey a life to electrical wires was conducted in 3D max. This was then brought into After Effects to add special effects such as particles and water splashing.
The Making on 100 Watts Film Trailer
I explored into the idea of colour correction and adding filters onto the footage to give it a more filmistic look. To do this I used the filter Film Magic Pro

DESIGN PROCESS: Unsharp Masking Technique
BEFORE
AFTER
Duplicating the image and adding a gaussian blur on the original layer, then set the copy layer to multiply and the picture quality is greatly enhanced. Other post production editing such as using the curves effect and the black and white effect has also been used.
Final design for Interactive Menu
This is the final design for our interactive menu. If you scroll down you can see the first design and how this one has drastically altered. We conducted more research and came to our senses! Conducted in Photoshop but currently trying to learn some in-design. Get that industry knowledge before I get released into the world!
DESIGN PROCESS: Adding Expressions into my work
A few basic expressions I used for the wiggle and rotation of my assets. I could have also inserted a slider control and parented the layers to give me more freedom, however on this particular it was not neccesary. My knowledge on expressions is slowly but surely increasing!

Testing pace and rhythm of animated swirls
http://vimeo.com/19809025
A short video to convey hand drawn swirls. I wanted to create an animation that would help the lead from the left of the screen, gradually to the right. I will use a stroke to help animate my hand drawn swirls from one side of the screen to the other. Pace, rhythm and timing will be an important factor!

Initial Design for Interactive Menu
A draft design for an interactive menu which is currently being implemented for the navigation screen within a Mercedes car. The menu was created in Photoshop, but I am currently in the middle of modifying it as after much consideration I did not feel the style was too appropriate. Keep posted for the final version!

Cacoon Entertainment
A short animation for my fictional production company. I made this company for the purpose of my final year project and this animation will feature at the start of my film trailer! A few tweaks with the colours and easing the keyframes in and out and then I'm finished!
Test Render for 3D seqeuence
A short test render I conducted in 3Ds Max for the start of my final year project. As you can see it needs alot more work in the texturing and lighting department, but it seems to be getting there. The next step is to render as a PNG and bring it into After effects to begin some post production!

Testing out a new set of brushes
Just downloaded a new set of environmental brushes from http://www.brusheezy.com/, so thought I'd test them out and make a little design on land pollution. Just in case you're wondering why, pollution was going to be my topic for my final year project.......until I came to my senses!
Vector Art on Illustrator
A tutorial I followed to help me improve my skills on illustrator. The picture needs a little more work and some more attention to detail but I reckon its a good start.
